Data-only eSIM or a Thai tourist package with calls?
Data-only service can support internet messaging and calling apps, but it does not establish that you receive a Thai mobile number or ordinary outgoing calls. If you need to telephone a hotel, restaurant or tour operator, check those features on the exact package.
True and dtac list tourist packages with local-call benefits as well as a separate data-only product with different voice terms. Their tourist SIM terms require passport registration. AIS also asks customers to register its tourist SIM before use. These are the operators’ own product conditions, not a promise that every travel eSIM sold by MeSIM includes the same features or registration process.

An unlimited label does not by itself confirm continuous full-speed data or unrestricted tethering. Read the high-speed allowance, reduced speed and reset rules. For remote work, confirm hotspot support and budget for accommodation Wi-Fi rather than assuming mobile data will cover every task.

Check coverage beyond your arrival city
Check the network named on the plan against the places where you will stay. A country coverage label does not establish reliable service on every island, boat route or rural road. If the network is unconfirmed, ask before making a coverage-dependent purchase.
Save accommodation details, transfer instructions and offline maps before leaving Wi-Fi. On arrival, follow the plan’s instructions for selecting the data line and roaming settings; installation alone does not always start service.
